“It’s August, and theatre would normally be celebrating its annual shindig at the fringe. But this year the fringe comes to your own living room with a number of initiatives including a weekly Friday line-up of comedy and cabaret from the Fringe Society itself. Zoo Venues are not one of the biggest fringe venues but it is one of the most consistently interesting featuring boundary busting offerings and outlier shows. And this year you can watch it all from your own front room. If you want outlier then tune into Graeme Leak’s Ewetube: an Infinite Eco-Opera which live streams from 12 noon each day offering harmonised sheep choruses and bird song from a field in deepest Stirlingshire. Or check out Ontroerend Goed’s Loopstaion, Luca Silvestrini’s Protein with the dance piece Lol (Lots of Love), Bootlicker and CHILLDXDDY’s binaural video, Fix and Foxy’s Rocky!
