Overview
An online Edinburgh Fringe streaming service for pre-recorded performances, films and live-streams of theatre and dance, including firm Fringe favourites and classics from the last twenty years at ZOO.
The curated online programme of performances is in lieu of an in-person festival in August this year following the postponement on the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
In what would have been the venue’s twentieth year at the Fringe, ZOO has programmed a dynamic online festival spanning theatre, dance, music, poetry and live art. All content is free to access and available worldwide; audiences will be encouraged to donate directly to each performing company or artist.
The programme includes several world-renowned companies returning to ZOO: multiple Fringe First-winners Ontroerend Goed present Loopstation, a large-scale homage to humanity’s habits and routines which has never been seen at the Fringe before. Celebrated company imitating the dog present their adaptation of Joseph Conrad’s Heart of Darkness, and The Wardrobe Ensemble are back at ZOO with Little Tim and the Brave Sea Captain, aimed at ages 0-7.
